[WEAR Sustain] Open Call 2 Launch for Northern Europe (Aarhus) – [Fashion Ecosystems]
November 2 @ 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm CETFree
Date: 2nd November
Time: 15:30 – 19:00
Place: Non-Space, Aarhus,
Creativity World Forum, Aarhus (Denmark)
The WEAR consortium, in cooperation with Creative Ring, DataScouts and Lifestyle and Design Cluster invites you to actively participate in the WEAR Sustain Launch for Northern Europe and a cross-disciplinary workshop to engage in the future of wearable technology.
New generation wearables will be flexible, fashionable and invisible. They will embed advanced features such as energy harvesting, efficient power management and very low-power high-performance computing. Future wearables will have to be shapeable, stretchable and washable/cleanable on-demand. Smart materials and digital technology in textile will allow smart textiles to sense, illuminate, communicate, transform energy, monitor health, and even protect from environmental hazards, providing them with advanced functionalities.
WEAR Sustain invites artists, designers and creative people of all forms to work with technologists and hubs to develop critical approach to design an ethical, sustainable, environmental, and aesthetic wearable device or smart/e-textiles project. At the event WEAR will present the call to engineers, technologists and designers and provide information in order to be able to propose concrete projects within the framework of the WEAR second call.
The event takes place as part of the Creativity World Forum; a two-day worldwide conference putting together around 2000 top creative minds each year. This is the 13th edition and will be Europe’s largest forum on entrepreneurial creativity in 2017. In other words, this is one conference in 2017 you can’t miss, if you’re defining yourself as a creative!
