A series of WEAR events will take place across Europe during November and December 2017, in the lead up to our second Open Call for collaborative innovation funding. Events are designed to exchange knowledge, inform and assist you in applying, and help you to meet a collaborative partner. See more about our events framework here.
If you are unable to attend a local event, our Webinars (dates to be announced) will provide you with additional support for your application. If you are seeking a collaborative partner you may find one via our Online Network.

[WEAR Sustain] Open Call 2 Launch for South West Europe (Guimarães, Portugal)

The municipality of Guimarães welcomes you to the WEAR Sustain Open Call Launch Event for South West Europe.
Join us on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th December at IDE GUI, Design Institute of Guimarães for the launch of WEAR Sustain’s 2nd and final round of competition funding.
WEAR Sustain is a new € 3m pan-European project that aims to change the landscape of wearable technology, smart and electronic textiles towards a more sustainable and ethical approach.
This is the second and final round of funding available. 26 Creative & Technology Collaboration awards of €50,000 are available to winning teams to address Ethics and Sustainability issues using Wearables or E-textiles.
Day 1 will feature key presentations, a Research Cafe on critical thinking for sustainability and ethics, followed by a consultation for those interested in applying to the Open Call.
The second day will host a creative making session, intro to e-textiles and ideas development for Open Call 2 applications.
