Wear Sustain exhibition at ICT2018 in Vienna - MOGU Leather awarded for best pitch and best product
ICT 2018 took place in Vienna on 4-6 December 2018. This research and innovation showcase event and expo attracted 4800 visitors and focused on the European Union’s priorities in the digital transformation of society and industry, as well as unveiling new funding calls for the new Horizon Europe agenda and cycle. It presented an opportunity for other EU funded projects, actors and consortia involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age.
WEAR Sustain exhibited the most seven more “artistic/visual" projects as part of the STARTS initiative “art and technology” exhibition for ICT 2018, these included: MI.MU Gloves, HILO, MOGU Leather, BB Studio, Touch Craft, FleXo and Wisp. Other teams exhibited pop-up-style exhibits of their projects. All teams attending had the opportunity to present their project for up to five minutes on the STARTS stage to the general ICT attendees.
WEAR partner, Stavri Nikolov, Director/Founder of DSLL, organised a pitching session at ICT 2018 for ten teams who were most ready for market and follow on funding to reach possible investors and get feedback on their product. Each team pitched for 3 minutes to the jury, in a Dragon’s Den-style approach.
Finally, a certificate was awarded for the best pitch of the day, the best product (Market-ready) and the most socially engaged project. MOGU Leather won all of these categories.
Pitching teams: HILO, MI.MU, FleXo, Touch Craft, Dynaback, Solemaker, MOGU Leather, Quietude, Sensewear and iBreve.
